This calendar was borne of a collection of friend’s ideas that wanted to do something different from the usual run of calendars, prove that any women, any age and any shape can do anything she desires, have some fun and most importantly raise some money for the charities Dorset Children’s Hospice (Julia’s House)-Registered No.1067125, North Devon Hospice-Registered No.286554, Lyme Regis Youth Football & Lyme Regis Majorettes.

This is also to thank the real stars, the people without whose help and expertise this project would not have been fulfilled.

Firstly to Mark Gannon & Amanda Williams Body & Face Painters Extraordinaire who came from the other side of Dorset to perform works of art on a collection of

Incredibly different bodies! Marks ideas and amazing strokes with a brush left us all in awe with Amanda a perfect compliment to him; she has also just been awarded UK Face Painter 2008. They both worked incredibly hard and really professionally.

Next our friend and photographer the amazing Richard Austin whom I am sure needs no introduction and who generally photographs pigs and not people! The day of our last photo shoot he had just become a very proud Grandfather but stayed the whole day into the evening to finish our shoot. Congratulations to Matthew & Marie.

To another friend and Graphic Designer Becky O’Donnell who tastefully enhanced this Calendar with her perfect simplicity knowing just what was needed.

Then to Adrian Wood of Digital Print Dorchester without whom you would not be reading this, I have known Adrian since birth; he was my next-door neighbour’s son and went to school with my son. I first worked with Adrian in a printing company many years ago, his printing and ideas are up to date, he is easy to work with and knows just what he is doing.

To John Govier and Jo Bishop of Radio Devon who gave us our first publicity, John can always be relied upon to help, he tells me it’s because I was his favourite Lollipop Lady of many moons ago.

To all the sponsors from our very own Lyme Regis without whom this project could not have happened, thank you all so much.

To all our friends who loaned their bodies, gave up their time and made this project one of the most enjoyable things we have ever done.

To my special friend Tim Beer who has set us up a Web Site so people can buy this Calendar, thank you so much.

And last but not least to my husband Alan who has had to put up with me, made various items that we needed and gone without dinner on more than one occasion!
